SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Nov. 20 — The No. 26 Corner Canyon [Draper, UT] Chargers will face the Lone Peak [Highland, UT] Knights Thursday afternoon in Utah's UHSAA Class 6A state championship game.

The game will be played at The University of Utah's Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, and it will be a rematch of 2024's Class 6A title tilt won by the Chargers, 30-27. The Chargers' only loss last year during a 13-1 campaign came to the Knights in a 28-21 setback during the regular season, and Utah's defending champs hope that history will repeat itself. That's because the Chargers' only loss to date in 2025 is also to the Knights in a 42-21 defeat back on September 19.

Following that win over Corner Canyon, Lone Peak lost their next three games before finding their mojo again in the playoffs, and they currently sit at 8-4 heading into the championship game. They chalked up playoff wins over the Farmington [UT] Phoenix {41-14), Davis [Kaysville, UT] Darts (41-38 in 2OT), and Skyridge [Lehi, UT] Falcons (13-7) to earn another shot at a state title.

The Chargers, meanwhile, have collected six straight wins since that earlier loss to Lone Peak, and at 11-1, they are widely expected to avenge that loss in similar fashion to their turnaround in 2024. They racked up playoff wins against the Layton [UT] Lancers, Syracuse [UT] Titans, and Mountain Ridge [Herriman, UT] Sentinels to advance to the title game.

The two teams are set to kick off at 4:30 p.m. EST (2:30 p.m. MST local).
