Detroit linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez left Lions training camp practice early on Tuesday to be evaluated for potential injury, per Detroit Lions senior writer and insider Tim Twentyman.
Detroit was evaluating Rodriguez's ankle.
Rodriguez, 27, has played in 50 regular-season games and made 25 starts across his four-year playing career since being drafted by the Lions in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Per Pro Football Focus, Rodriguez totaled 72 defensive snaps with the Lions last season. The 5-foot-11, 230-pound linebacker carded just a 28.4 overall defensive grade from PFF in those limited snaps, but he registered overall defensive grades of 62.8 in 2022, 57.4 in 2023 and 74.4 in 2024.
Rodriguez also totaled 160 special teams snaps last season.
