A trio of Detroit Lions left Monday's training camp practice early to be evaluated for potential injuries.
According to Detroit Lions senior writer and insider Tim Twentyman, wide receiver Lawrence Keys (leg), tight end Anthony Firkser (leg) and running back Sione Vaki (poked in the eye) exited Monday's training camp practice early to be evaluated for potential injuries.
The Lions just re-signed Firkser last Friday. The 6-foot-2, 245-pound tight end played the final seven games with the Lions last season after joining Detroit in November. Firkser caught eight passes for 53 yards, including four for 40 yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 16.
Detroit signed Keys in June after the 5-foot-11 receiver finished second in the UFL with 1,001 all-purpose yards over the Gamblers' 10-game schedule.
Vaki has appeared in 27 regular-season games over the past two seasons, primarily on special teams where he's totaled 494 special teams snaps. Vaki has totaled 30 offensive snaps (28 in 2024) over the last two seasons.
