Linganore Cheer became state champions on Saturday after securing first place in the 3A division.
The state title is the team's third in a row.
Linganore Cheer also placed first in their respective division at the county and regional competitions.
Tuscarora, Frederick and Oakdale high schools also competed in the 3A division and earned sixth, seventh and eighth place, respectively, out of eight teams.
Urbana High School competed in the 4A division and earned seventh place out of eight teams.
Divisions are determined by the school's enrollment numbers.
On Facebook, the Linganore Cheerleading account posted that the cheerleaders "knew what they had to do on Saturday and did THAT!"
"Our routine was HARD, our expectations high, and our love for you never ending," the post said. "You pushed yourselves to be better everyday and it paid off!"
