LeBron James, a 23-year NBA veteran and four-time champion, has still yet to reveal his next destination. However, the 22-time All-Star turned heads earlier this week when he said "trusting the process," the old catchphrase of former 76ers general manager Sam Hinkie.
Following the comment, James pumped the brakes on a potential move to Philadelphia, admitting to using the phrase naturally, without the 76ers in mind. "I've been saying 'trust the process' since I was drafted in, like, 2003," James said. "I don't know if (Joel) Embiid was even born yet."
Although he was not yet a recognized athlete by then, Embiid had certainly been born, as the now 32-year-old was born in 1994. That said, the door remains open for James to join up with Embiid, another one of his former teammates with Team USA. Luckily for the entire NBA world, James is expected to make his long-awaited decision soon.
