The NASCAR Truck Series competed at Charlotte Motor Speedway, but they were up against the clock. With the race starting around 10:00 a.m. ET, the Truck Series had two hours to finish the race with a Noon deadline. NASCAR wasn't able to complete all of the laps in the Truck Series race at Charlotte, and it benefited a Front Row Motorsports driver.
Layne Riggs and the No. 34 team for Front Row Motorsports won the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte, earning their second victory of the 2026 Truck Series season. Riggs was able to hold off Kaden Honeycutt in the closing laps before Chandler Smith's wreck ended the race.
NASCAR finished the event at Charlotte under a yellow flag, giving Riggs his first Truck Series win since St. Petersburg in late February. The driver of the No. 34 truck had one of the fastest vehicles at Charlotte, and it paid off with an emotional victory in honor of the late Kyle Busch.
