Layne Riggs is quickly pulling away with the 2026 NASCAR Truck Series regular season championship. After winning the Truck Series race at San Diego, Riggs has a 65-point lead in the standings over Kaden Honeycutt. This comes after the Front Row Motorsports driver won his fourth race of the 2026 season.

In fact, Riggs has won three of the last four races, continuing his reign as the best driver in the Truck Series. The driver of the No. 34 truck has been very strong throughout the 2026 NASCAR season and should be one of the championship favorites. It might even result in a promotion to the NASCAR Cup Series.

Riggs has no signs of slowing down as the Truck Series heads to Lime Rock Park soon. The Front Row Motorsports driver has a decent-sized lead over Honeycutt, but it is not set in stone yet. However, another victory by Riggs could put his points situation in an even better spot.
