Larry Kaminski, an AFL All-Star, was the best Broncos player to wear No. 59

Broncos Wire's review of the best players to wear each jersey number (Nos. 0-99) for the Denver Broncos continues today with a quick look at former center Larry Kaminski, No. 59.

Kaminski joined Denver's squad (then in the AFL) as an undrafted free agent out of Purdue in 1966 after earning first-team All-Big Ten recognition with the Boilermakers in 1965. He went on to play eight seasons with the Broncos, earning AFL All-Star honors in 1967, which included an invite to the AFL's All-Star game.

Kaminski started 70 games during his time in Denver, dressing for 96 total games in his career before retiring after the 1973 season. Kaminski, who played on the first team in franchise history to post a winning record (7-5-2 in 1973), was named to the club's all-time Top 100 Team in 2019. He gets the nod as the best No. 59 due in large part to his eight-year tenure with the club.
