After a two-year hiatus, Broncos Wire is set to resume our all-time number series this summer.
For readers who need a refresher, we begin listing the best Denver Broncos players to wear each jersey number (0-99) in 2023, and we got up to linebacker Tom Jackson (No. 57) in 2024 before getting sidetracked. Today, we're starting the series back up with No. 58, an easy choice.
Von Miller was picked by Denver in the first round of the 2011 NFL draft (second overall) out of Texas A&M. He went on to total 110.5 sacks in 142 career games with the Broncos, setting a new franchise record.
Miller recorded 2.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in the team's 24-10 win over the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50, taking home Super Bowl MVP honors. Six seasons later, Miller won another Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams, and he's now tied with the most sacks (4.5) in Super Bowl history.
Miller ranks ninth on the NFL's all-time sack list with 138.5 quarterback takedowns, and he was easily the best player to ever wear No. 58 with the Broncos. Miller is a lock for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
