RUSTON, La–While the Lady Bears are building a winning streak, the Missouri State men are trying to escape a five game losing skid.
The Bears started a two game road trip Thursday night at Louisiana Tech before going to Sam Houston on Saturday.
The Bears lost to the Bulldogs in double overtime two weeks ago in Springfield.
And La Tech jumped out to quick start, Jaylen Fenner with the three, it’s 13-4 Bulldogs.
But MoState battled back, inside to Keith Palek, his lay up ties the game at 22.
It was tied at 35 at the half.
Second half, Trey Williams with the trey, and it’s 60-54 Bears.
Then the full court pass to Palek for the lay up, it’s 62-57 MoState.
But La Tech would not go away, 58 seconds left in the game, tied at 68, the three is off but D.J. Dudley is there for the board and the bucket 70-68 Bulldogs.
38 seconds left, Palek with the jumper ties it at 70, he finished with 29 points.
But with 10 seconds left, La Tech drives to the hole, first shot is off, but will Allen gets the rebound and the basket, and Louisiana Tech hands MoState it’s sixth straight loss 72-70.
