Kolb gets a one win head start, Dan Bickley probably has a 200 word head start on his future column ripping the organization. Both QBs have several easy wins remaining on their schedule.

Leinart will win at least 4 regular season games... Kolb will not.

Then its time to start bringing up archived articles of Bickley ripping Matty and praising his release by Whis...

Even if they both end up sucking down the stretch, the Texans are a WAY better team.

This. Even with Mario Williams being out and Andre Johnson being gimpy they are a better team both with talent & coaching.

As down as I am on Whiz, I am noting handing the "better coaching" title to Gary Kubiak.

That team has been oozing offensive talent for his entire tenure, as talented as any in the league this will be his FIRST winning season there, and it comes in a year with no competition in the division.

They have had some absurd meltdowns late in games during his tenure also.

I think you give Whiz all that talent, and he does more with it than Gary has. The key is Whiz has to inherit the talent... because we have seen he struggles to find his own.

Kubiak had sense enough to go and get a very good defensive coordinator and let him run the show. He recognized the problem and is trying to remedy it, they weren't missing the playoffs because his offense couldn't score points it was because the defense has flat out underperformed.

Sure would've been nice if the Cards FO had the guts to hire a TOP defensive C. like Phillips...

Plus its a little tougher playing in a Division that had Jeff Fisher and Peyton Manning than the Rams,49ers, and Seahawks.

Kubiak actually has a better record than CKW 38-36 v 35-39. 2007-today

By the way: I voted for Leinart hoping that would put the Duckjake reverse Mojo on Kolb so Kevin would win more games.

Leinart will win more games because a) it looks like he's going to play one more game than Kolb and b) Leinart has a better team around him.

I will argue that their coach is really no better than ours, he has managed to do nothing for the Texans and this year with Manning out he has a chance. Kubiak does not stink, much like Whis...just a mix bag of results and mix bags leave you in a mediocre position most of the time. He is better with QBs for sure, so he gets the nod over Whis.

The Texans have more of Arizona's first round pre 2007 draft picks on their roster than we do.

I already lost 28 pushups this year on this bet to Mulli. the bet was whoever was QB for the Cardinals against Matt Leinart. 1 push up per point difference.

Matt bypassed the Seahawk offer, intelligently to stay with a playoff caliber team that wanted him enough to tag him with a 1st round tender in the offseason.

I have Matt Schaub and Matt leinart graded equally at elite 90 out of 100 elite starter.
Kolb I have graded at 80 out of 100 average starter.

leinart will have a chance to prove many right, that he is a bust at QB. I think not. I will be very surprised if he plays worse than Kolb his first week out and should be averageing 100 QB rating by the end of the year, heading into the playoffs against playoff defenses.

Yea He is on a good Texan team, He has playoffs, SB experience and 4 NCAA championship teams. It is not better than the Cardinals team that our FRont office and coaches destroyed. but it is what it is.

It is hard to compare. Who knows what Kubiak could have done with the Texans if they were in the NFC West. Since Kubiak took over the Texans not counting the Cards or Texans records:

2006 the top two AFC South teams were 20-12 The NFC West 17-15
2007 24-8 to 15-17
2008 25-7 to 11-21
2009 22-10 to 13-19
2010 18-14 to 14-18

I'm honest and sincere

I've been kicked in the nuts for years, over this one, we'll see starting this week.

I doubt Leinart will do much today. Most teams just run the ball vs the Jaguars.

Jacksonville hasn't allowed over 200 yards passing in a game all season. Shows that you do need some offense to win because the Jags are 3-7 despite having a top 5 Defense. They haven't scored more than 20 points in a game all year averaging just 12.5ppg

no

I think Matty shuts up critics today. I mean He went 78% completions on this bad Cardinals team! 110 qB rating.... the scary part is he will still have a whole lot of upside after he destroys the Jags today.......

watch and learn. ;)

Kolb wins by default!

Hopefully he can rally around this small victory and build on this.

Unless we want to credit Leinart with Houston's win today... in which case we might be looking at a push.
