Looking at the schedule the second half of the season, if this team can’t go 5-1 minimum during that stretch, they ain’t going to the playoffs.

Yup! Late schedule is challenging including at TB, at Houston, at Cincinnati and at the Rams. Also host the Rams and Atlanta.That combined with Kyler's tendency to fade down the stretch means it is critical to win these early games.

Given the Niners injuries, we're now likely to be favored in our first 6 games.

Not saying that we're great, but it is hard to fathom a softer schedule to start the year. 4 teams viewed as absolute bottom feeders, a triage version of the Niners and the confusing Seahawks.

Well this should be the game where the defense hits its stride. Use the DBs in man coverage and blitz the house. Should be in a position to create multiple turnovers. 49ers O-line is not very good either. It will be all McCaffery. Stop him early and create 3rd and long. This should be a great matchup for Cards.
