Jan. 25—MADISON, Wis. — The Bemidji State women's hockey team felt the wrath of No. 1 Wisconsin again.

The Badgers beat the Beavers 6-1 on Sunday afternoon at LaBahn Arena in Madison, Wisconsin, completing the series sweep. Morgan Smith scored the lone goal for BSU (5-18-3, 2-17-1 WCHA) in the second period with an assist from Isa Goettl. Both Smith and Goettl finished the weekend with four points.

Kirsten Simms scored twice for UW (23-1-2, 17-1-2 WCHA), while Caroline Harvey, Lacey Eden, Kelly Gorbatenko and Claire Enright each scored once.

Ava Hills made 48 saves on 54 shots for the Beavers. Ava McNaughton made 14 saves for Wisconsin.
