Also penalties and referee decisions can be momentum changers.
Calls like that have ramifications beyond that single play.

only if you allow them to be. Teams deal with bad calls - good teams deal them and put them behind them - like we did the last two weeks - this was a return to form unfortunately. Also - at 28-15 - I still don't think we're really "in the game" - there wasn't much time left and Pittsburg would have toughened up. In addition to that even at 28-15 or 28-17 - you still need two scores to get back into it - so why not kick the field goal there and again give your chance a shot at two scores and two point conversions to tie it?

After the penalty on the replay they should have kicked the FG. But would he have made it? They may have had a better chance at the TD.![]()

We call it "home cookin" down this way guys.
Pittsburgh got the best of the calls, and thats part of home field advantage, but that illegal touch call was especially horrible.
Might have been a different game if we get that touchdown.

I thought the instant replay was only supposed to be used to establish possession and position. How can they call a penalty based on the instant replay? The only question should have been whether Johnston had possession of the ball in the end zone for a touchdown.
