KHSAA Sweet 16 bracket, field for Kentucky boys basketball championships

The field is set for the 2026 UK Healthcare Boys Sweet 16.

The tournament is set for Wednesday-Saturday, March 18-21, at Rupp Arena in Lexington.

The field will include eight of the 16 teams in the final Kentucky High School Basketball Media Poll — No. 2 Covington Catholic, No. 3 St. Xavier, No. 4 George Rogers Clark, No. 6 Warren Central, No. 8 North Oldham, No. 12 North Laurel, No. 13 Butler and No. 14 Boyd County.

Here is the Sweet 16 schedule:

Wednesday, March 18

11 a.m. – St. Xavier (26-7) vs. Covington Catholic (31-2)

1:30 p.m. – North Laurel (28-7) vs. Warren Central (26-3)

6 p.m. – Grayson County (25-6) vs. Taylor County (26-9)

8:30 p.m. – Great Crossing (23-11) vs. Danville Christian (23-7)


Thursday, March 19

11 a.m. – Hazard (25-10) vs. Butler (26-5)

1:30 p.m. – Marshall County (24-8) vs. Boyd County (28-6)

6 p.m. – Lyon County (29-6) vs. North Oldham (25-5)

8:30 p.m. – Johnson Central (28-5) vs. George Rogers Clark (29-4)

Friday, March 20


11 a.m. – St. Xavier-Covington Catholic winner vs. North Laurel-Warren Central winner

1:30 p.m. – Grayson County-Taylor County winner vs. Great Crossing-Danville Christian winner

6 p.m. – Hazard-Butler winner vs. Lyon County-North Oldham winner

8:30 p.m. – Johnson Central-George Rogers Clark winner vs. Marshall County-Boyd County winner

Saturday, March 21

11 a.m. – Semifinal No. 1

1:30 p.m. – Semifinal No. 2

7:30 p.m. – Final
