Dirk beating Duncan? After that ballot-gate hoopla, it would be funny if Duncan still ends up coming off the bench.

McGrady ahead of Nash is such a freaking joke. I despise fan voting.

Marion REALLY REALLY REALLY deserves to be in. The guy is averaging like 16 ppg, 11 rebounds, and 2.3 steals. We need to get him in. I know Nash will get in somehow.

I can only imagine his side-stepped response to that question...

Stern: The NBA- where fans decide who starts in the All-Star game happens.

Yeah or "the NBA, where the best player comes off the bench in the all star game happens". Its kind of scary if you watch the NBA, I think Tmobil is the only sponsor advertizing, the advertizing revenues must be squat in the USA. But maybe Yi and Yao are selling everything in china and the NBA will cater to the chinese in a business decision. How far can it go? I dont know, but perhaps they could get "supermarket treatment" by the referees. It is a business after all, and money talks and the rest walks.

Tmac and Battier get spill votes from the Chinese because of Yao.

imo,
Nash will be a reserve and so is Shawn.
and Amare will not make it to the All-star team

Fan voting sucks. They ought to let the fans vote and just throw the ballots out and make up the numbers.

I think Nash is going to be a starter on the All Star Team and the coaches might select Marion or Amare to represent in the All Star game.

I really don't see Shawn or Amare making it this year... nor should they IMO.

12 players make the squad, right? This is what the breakdown should be at this point IMO:

C: Yao, Kaman
F: Duncan, Howard, Boozer, Melo, Dirk
G: Nash, Kobe, Parker, Ginobli, AI

Then probably T-Mac, Shawn/Amare as alternates at this point.

^Dirk has been playing pretty poor this year IMHO. I think Amare has been less than stellar, but I imagine by the time the ASG rolls around, he'll have picked it up to be deserving.

I'd be really surprised if Marion makes it this year. Maybe its for the best if he gets 'snubbed', maybe he'll go bananas and play out of his mind.

Well, good to see Hill up there and Marion is higher than usual. Really, with D'Antoni overplaying everyone I just don't care. Rest up and win the championship. I'll still be voting for them though.

I hope Yi gets named as a starter. That would be hilarious. One of the All-Star coaches should immediately call a timeout after the opening tip and put in a deserving player. China needs more exposure to the NBA game besides just Houston and now Milwaukee.

what they need to do is opposite. The coaches should decide the staters, and some sort of mix of fan votes, writer votes, and teams vote for the rest of the squad.
