With all the talk about Kevin Durant every offseason, it feels like only a matter of time before the future Hall of Famer gets traded. It's very weird that Durant continues to deal with this, though it likely isn't all his fault.

Ultimately, it takes two sides to make a trade, so I don't want to blame Durant for all that we've seen in recent years. There have been some quiet talks about Durant being traded this offseason, certainly not as big as they typically are.

There have been a few teams linked to the elite scorer, who many consider one of the greatest of all time, with the Detroit Pistons floated as the most realistic option. However, according to the latest reports, the Pistons' interest has seemingly faded.

“Kevin Durant, Rockets. (Remaining contract: two years, $90 million, player option.) There does not seem to be a market for Durant, who is 37 and has $90 million over two years on his contract. Rumors of Pistons interest has faded as the focus there is on re-signing Jalen Duren. Maybe a Durant deal comes back up after that gets done? It’s a longshot,” Sean Deveney wrote.

I said it a couple of days ago, and I'll keep saying it.

I really do think Durant would be a perfect fit for what the Pistons are looking to do, but a lot of it would be dependent on what Detroit would have to give up. If the Pistons were to move on from multiple assets to land an aging Durant, I think there are better opportunities out there for both parties.
