Kevin Durant has been accused of confronting a fan on X after the user criticized Drake and praised Kendrick Lamar.

Screenshots shared by X user @MrBusby4o8 appear to show direct messages sent from Durant’s verified account rather than an anonymous burner profile.

The exchange is said to have originated from commentary tied to the highly publicised Drake and Kendrick Lamar feud.

Fan shares screenshots of alleged messages

The X user uploaded images that he claims display messages from Durant’s official X account. He has also publicly stated that the screenshots are “100% real.”

The user indicated that he initially understood how public figures can be scrutinised for previous remarks.

He explained that he had faced backlash in the past before criticising what he described as repeated direct messages.

“Look, I got my past transgressions that I’ve been put on the summer jam screen for past s— I’ve said. So in a way I KINDA empathize with Kevin Durant…”

The tone of the caption then shifted as the user alleged ongoing contact. He characterised the situation in blunt terms.

“But this —– BEEN a whole a– weirdo that be talking to himself in my DM’s.”

The screenshots circulating online suggest the exchange followed posts in which the user praised Kendrick Lamar while criticising Drake.

Durant and Drake have maintained a long-standing friendship, and Durant previously appeared in Drake’s “Laugh Now, Cry Later” music video.

No confirmation from Durant

Durant has not issued a public statement addressing the screenshots. Although the images appear to display messages from his verified account, their authenticity has not been independently confirmed.

Durant is known for engaging directly with fans on social media, which has often placed him at the centre of online discussion.

However, there has been no clarification regarding the context or completeness of the messages shared.

At present, the situation is based on screenshots posted by a single user who insists they are authentic. Until further confirmation emerges, the claims remain unverified.
