I try to tolerate all kinds of negative views but when a poster's entire purpose in life becomes to ruin everybody else's enjoyment, it's time to consider a permanent ban.

My inclination is to get rid of Kerouac. He's become a professional poison pill. The final choice is mine. Unless I'm convinced otherwise, he's gone tomorrow night.

If I could find a reason to come to his defense....I would....
but I can't....
so I won't.

i voted "no"

... i consider him the ultimate "darksider", but he's no NEM. Unless he gets overly personal in addition to his attacking other's OPINIONS, let's keep him.

I say "No" despite the fact that Kerouac accused me of financing terrorism :)

He is not NEM but I will also say he is definately on the Dark Side. But for now I say keep him

No

He's a pessimist but he doesn't insult everyone. The only people I don't want to see on here are the "Cards suck and so do you" type, which he isn't.

It is quite obvious that one cannot tell much from a rookie camp performance. I pointed out a few things about Calvin Pace that I saw and thought interesting. One of those things was his intelligence and presence of mind to help his teammate to the QB on the way to his own assignment.

Intelligence and instinct can't be taught at this point. You either have it or you don't.

Calvin Pace is intelligent, and quick. I was giving my opinion on what I saw...not what I think I'll see in future.

ummmmmm...okay..........now back to Kerouac

No to the ban - he may be a buzz kill, but he hasn't threatened anyone that I am aware of and doesn't thump his chest screaming his view is the only view.

EDIT: Jim, I posted this before reading the other thread. Your opinions are very highly regarded here. Everyone has an opinion and we really do appreciate every tidbit from you. EVEN IF IT IS AN OPINION!:) Please continue to post observations, opinions and facts. Do not let a few spoil it for the rest of us.

I voted no.
Yes, he is negative, but unless it reaches Nemian proportions, I say let him stay.

If he is not around, and if Pace goes all-Pro, how else could we rub it in his face? :D

Skorp,

I voted "no" only because we have the "ignore" option... It's still your call!!!

It is not just one person that jumps on an item and then tries to twist it around. Many people do it. Here is an example of what happens:

Sample statement:

"Wow, you should have seen Preston Parsons today. He knocked an apple of Coach Mac's head form 50 yards away!"

Sample Reply:

"Gee Whizz! What do you think Preston is...a Hall of Frickin Famer?

Reality:

One person posts an observation and then someone else takes that and adds something to it that is beyond the point of the original post.

The guy is definately no NEM!

But man he can be annoying. I am for whatever you choose Skkorp!

By the way all of you that say no because of ignore??? Do you realize how bad that makes a thread and trying to sort through the different posts like what response came from who? It makes to choppy and isnt worth the time or effort!

The wrong end of a Tequila bottle.
The thing that worries me about this, Skorp, is if guys say 'no', does he take his totally negative stance and see this as a ringing endorsement? For me he's annoying, but if it doesn't get any worse, I can deal with it. If it does get worse, you need to deal with it.

He's been here a long time and isn't even approaching NEM status. No reason to ban him.

Keep'em around. I like him. He's just speaking what he feels and expressing an opinion which is what this place is for. He doesn't hold back anything he feel because he fears people will get mad at him, and I respect that. At the same time, he doesn't just do it to be a prick. I vote for him to stay.

NO!!!

Don't ban him - he just brings a different view to the table.

And anyway, it was fun arguing with him today about Preston Parsons. :D

Ok, thread closed

Thank you for your opinions, public and private.

Kerouac is not banned. I won't bring it up again.
