Kentucky Football has added another significant piece to its 2027 recruiting class, as 4-star wide receiver Tyler Fryman has officially flipped his commitment from Louisville Baseball to the football Cats.

Fryman, a 5-foot-11, 179-pound standout from Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, has long been considered one of the top athletes in the Commonwealth. The Beechwood star originally committed to Louisville Baseball as an eighth grader before he had even entered high school, and later received a football offer from the Cardinals in June 2025.

Kentucky entered the picture in October 2025 when Mark Stoops and the previous coaching staff offered the talented playmaker. However, after Stoops departed and Will Stein took over the program, Fryman quickly became a priority target for the new staff.

That recruiting effort paid off.

Following a recent official visit to Lexington, Fryman announced he was decommitting from Louisville, and now, he’s officially flipped his commitment to joining Kentucky’s rapidly growing 2027 recruiting class.

According to the 247 Sports Composite rankings, Fryman is rated as the No. 210 overall prospect in the country, the No. 30 wide receiver nationally, and the No. 3 player in Kentucky.

The Northern Kentucky standout put together a huge junior season, recording 45 receptions for 1,023 yards and 18 touchdowns. He also added 17 rushing attempts for 277 yards and three more scores, showcasing the versatility that has made him one of the state’s most sought-after athletes.

Fryman’s future could extend beyond football. He has publicly expressed a desire to play both football and baseball in college if possible, similar to Kentucky football and baseball signee Matt Ponatoski, who is still weighing his future between professional baseball and college athletics.

For now, Kentucky fans can celebrate another major recruiting win as Stein continues building momentum with one of the nation’s fastest-rising recruiting classes.
