The Kentucky Wildcats have picked up yet another commitment, this time from in-state four-star wide receiver Tyler Fryman. This brings Kentucky's class up to 25 total commits in the 2027 recruiting cycle. Fryman was a Louisville baseball commit, but his future seems to be on the gridiron as he is a tremendous football player. Fryman is a consensus four-star on every recruiting site and a top five player in the state of Kentucky.
Will Stein and his staff had some ground to make up in-state after missing out on tight end Seneca Driver to the Oklahoma Sooners. They have done just that by picking up two of the highest rated prospects in Kentucky with defensive tackle Malachi Brown and now Fryman. Fryman was being pursued heavily by Notre Dame, but after an official visit this weekend with the Wildcats he has made his decision. Fryman joins fellow four-star wide receiver Iveon Lewis and three-star wideout Austin Coles as the three commits at the position.
Kentucky is in a great spot with three wide receiver commits that all have different skillsets. As for Fryman, he is dynamic with the football in his hands and can create separation on deep routes. If you watch Fryman compete, you come to realize he is a natural football player as he played both sides of the ball and isn't afraid to block on the perimeter. Fryman has to refine his route running at the next level, but his playmaking ability is top notch and he has already made plays in Kroger Field as Beechwood high school came up short in the state championship last season.
