After three big time commitments over the weekend, the Kentucky Wildcats have just added yet another. Offensive lineman Reed Gerken announced he has committed to the Wildcats over Virginia Tech, Wisconsin and Illinois per Hayes Fawcett of Rivals. The 6'5, 280-pound product out of Perrysburg, OH offers some position versatility and can play tackle or guard at the next level. Gerken is a three-star prospect that had offers from multiple high level programs.

This now brings Kentucky to 22 total commitments for the 2027 recruiting cycle. The 22 total commits is tied for second most with a handful of teams and trailing only Florida. Kentucky's class ranks 10th in the country according to 247Sports and it ranks 23rd according to Rivals. One thing is for certain: Will Stein and his staff remain on a heater throughout the summer on the recruiting trail.

There could be more good news on the way this week as the momentum is showing no sign of slowing down. On Wednesday at 1 P.M. ET, four-star offensive tackle Dominic Black will announce his decision on the CBS Sports College Football YouTube channel. Black is deciding between Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and Michigan State. Kentucky seems to be in a solid position to land another high level prospect on the offensive line.
