Kentucky Football added another major building block to its 2027 recruiting class on Wednesday as 4-star interior offensive lineman Dominic Black announced his commitment to the Wildcats.
The 6-foot-5, 290-pound prospect from New Madison, Ohio, chose Kentucky over offers from Tennessee, Indiana, Louisville, Missouri, and UCLA, among others. Black is rated as the No. 191 overall player nationally, the No. 19 offensive tackle, and the No. 7 prospect in Ohio according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings.
The commitment represents another significant recruiting victory for first-year head coach Will Stein and his staff, while also serving as a huge win for offensive line coach Cutter Leftwich.

Kentucky’s pursuit of Black began after he attended Junior Day in Lexington in mid-January. Shortly after that visit, offensive line assistant Paul Rodriguez extended an offer on Jan. 30. From that point forward, Leftwich made Black one of his top priorities.
Black returned to Kentucky for another unofficial visit in March, where he spent time with Stein and the coaching staff. Leftwich continued building the relationship and even visited Black at his high school during the spring evaluation period.
The Wildcats had plenty of competition. Defending national champion Indiana was widely viewed as Kentucky’s biggest challenger, while Tennessee, Michigan State, and Virginia Tech also remained heavily involved throughout the process.

With Black now in the fold, Kentucky continues to gain momentum on the recruiting trail and adds one of the Midwest’s premier offensive line prospects to a rapidly growing 2027 class.
