Kentucky basketball to open 2026-27 season vs Manhattan at Rupp Arena

LEXINGTON — Kentucky basketball's 2026-27 nonconference slate is growing more concrete by the day.

UK announced seven more nonconference games — all will be played at Rupp Arena — on Monday. The Wildcats and coach Mark Pope will open the season Nov. 3, hosting Manhattan.

The other six contests Kentucky revealed are:

  • Nov. 6: James Madison
  • Nov. 13: Northern Arizona
  • Nov. 16: Grambling State
  • Dec. 8: Bryant
  • Dec. 22: Sacred Heart
  • Dec. 28: Gardner-Webb

The seven games announced Monday join five that already were known, which are the annual rivalry clash against Louisville (Dec. 12 in Lexington) along with Kansas (Nov. 10 at the United Center in Chicago), Indiana (Nov. 20 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis), Virginia (Dec. 2 in Charlottesville, Virginia) and North Carolina (Dec. 19 at Madison Square Garden).
