The Kentucky Wildcats coaching staff had a busy weekend on the recruiting trail, leading to a flurry of scholarship offers.
Now, the Wildcats extended an offer to one of the top power forwards in the 2027 class.
Lewis Uvwo announced on Tuesday that he was offered by the Wildcats. The 6-foot-10 power forward from Prolific Prep is one of the biggest stock risers over the past couple of weeks.
Uvwo had a busy weekend as he’s become one of the best shot blockers in high school, averaging nearly six blocks per game. He gained good traction at the EYBL Memphis session, which has now carried over to the Atlanta session and beyond.
Uvwo has attracted significant interest from schools, including offers from USC, Oklahoma, Texas, UCLA, Ole Miss, BYU, Illinois, LSU, and Michigan.
Rivals has Uvwo as the No. 46 overall player in the class of 2027 and the No. 6 power forward. Seen as the top rim protector in high school, the Wildcats staff had to jump in on Uvwo’s recruitment sooner rather than later.
Check out some highlights of Uvwo below.
