Fans who attended the Kansas City Chiefs' training camp practice on August 8 saw a scuffle between running back Kenneth Walker III and safety Alohi Gilman.
Both players joined the Chiefs as free agents earlier this year and are expected to earn important roles in Kansas City on their respective sides of the ball.
Walker seemed to take exception to Gilman's comportment after a tense exchange near the sideline and threw a ball at the defensive back before tackling him to the ground.
A video of the incident was posted to Twitter by Arrowhead Pride Lead Film Analyst Caleb James:
Teammates quickly stepped in to break up the brawling brace, and neither player seemed to have sustained an injury in the fray — besides, perhaps, bruised egos.
Expect to see more fiery exchanges at Chiefs training camp as the summer heat causes tempers to flare on the fields at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph.
