Kayshon Boutte Reportedly Seeking Patriots Trade After A.J. Brown Acquisition originally appeared on NESN. Add NESN as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
A.J. Brown's Patriots career is just beginning, but Kayshon Boutte's might be about to end.
New England acquired Brown on Monday in a trade that sent two draft picks to the Philadelphia Eagles. While discussing the trade during the latest episode of his podcast, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Boutte wouldn't mind taking his talents elsewhere.
“One wide receiver I’m still suspecting that something might happen with is Kayshon Boutte," Schefter said. "He has not been there for the offseason program. He has been interested in a trade. I would think that at some point this summer, we may get action there. Another deal, Kayshon Boutte, going somewhere else. We’ll see how that works out.”
Boutte joined the Patriots as a sixth-round pick in 2023. After an underwhelming rookie season, the LSU product broke out in 2024 with 43 catches for 589 yards and three touchdowns in 15 games. He was equally impressive last season, posting 33 catches for 551 yards and six TDs in 14 games while emerging as Drake Maye's top downfield target.
Boutte has skipped all of the Patriots' voluntary offseason practices to this point, but he's required to be at mandatory minicamp, which will be held June 15 through 17.
