LAWRENCE — Kansas football wrapped up its spring ball practices not too long ago, and is now in the midst of another period in which its roster could go through some changes.
The transfer portal for college football opened against this past Wednesday, and will remain open through this upcoming Friday — from April 16 to April 25.
Things have been pretty quiet for Kansas in the initial days of this window. There hasn’t been a flurry of movement in or out. But time will tell how much that holds as the portal is open and in the weeks that follow.

Follow along for updates, with the most recent coming Monday morning, April 21:
There have not been any players who have announced they are transferring in to join the Jayhawks. This will be updated with a list of those athletes as that information becomes available.
Here’s a a running list to keep an eye on:
Kansas added several transfers over the winter, as it looked to replace significant experience lost from the 2024 team. One who’s impressed has been senior defensive end Justice Finkley, who arrived from Texas. Of course, with Jobe departing, it could be valuable for the Jayhawks to add another experienced player at the position.
At the wide receiver position, senior Emmanuel Henderson Jr. arrived from Alabama and has been one of multiple newcomers there who’ve drawn praise. Cam Pickett, a redshirt junior from Ball State, and Levi Wentz, a redshirt senior from Albany, are two more names to know here. Remember, too, that Bryson Canty is set to join the room from Columbia.
At linebacker, senior Joseph Sipp Jr. (Bowling Green), redshirt junior Trey Lathan (West Virginia) and redshirt senior Bangally Kamara (South Carolina) have been developing well. There was also depth added in the secondary and elsewhere on the roster.
But as the Jayhawks try to figure out how they want their offensive line to look, despite additions that came in for the spring it seems like that could be an area addressed by another newcomer as well.
