Just curious how many think Poole would have landed in bounds had he not been pushed?

Would Poole have landed in bounds if not for the push?

I say yes after watching it over and over on my new Tivo(christmas) I think he was coming down at an angle that would have allowed him to land in bounds!

Russ says no!

Everybody else?

Looked like he would have been inbounds to me, but would have fallen backwards after his feet hit.

I've wondered that myself. I almost wish he hadn't have been pushed just so we could see if he could've gotten that second foot in. I think it would've been extremely close either way. Not in his favor was he was tilted at angle going out of bounds and twisting as well. The natural motion there is to swing your leg around the other one to land.

I voted Yes, but I think you can't really tell definitively either way. The official made a judgment call, and it was a tough one.

But, the right one I believe!

Have to say no but it was certainly possible for him to get the other foot in. The Vikings would have been better off not touching him in retrospect. The official made the only call he could in my opinion.

Nope. Thank goodness he was pushed.

Anyone else think #63 (I think it was) was illegally down field on the play though? Looked to me like he thought Josh was running and not throwing and was motoring down the middle of the field.

No flag though so I guess it's all good!

Peace!

I saw a Viking message board today that said that McCown was past the LOS when he let it go.

Oh, and he claimed that he was at the game and that we're all a-holes.

Woo hoo! Have a nice winter!

Yes, even in the pic in this thread, you can see his left leg ready to come down in bounds.

Not a chance - you can watch the replay and McCown is cleary at least 2 yards behind the official who is staring straight down the LOS - he sits there just so he can make that exact call.
