Was at Best Buy returning something, and came across an open box monitor. I have been considering getting a new one for a little while to replace my 17 inch lcd, so yesterday I decided to take the plunge and take advantage of what I thought (and hope) was a good deal. It ran me, after tax, about $248.

It's a Gateway, model # FPD2275W

I have the 20 inch version.
Let me know if you can figure out how to get it to display properly. My graphics card doesn't like the 1680x1050 ratio. Everything is either 4x3 or 16x9.

The only screen setting I can use is 1680x1050. This makes all my web content tiny. This setting does work great for HDTV (thin black line on top and bottom)

What I need is a setting like 1024x640 or 1280x800 but all my computer will do is 1024x768 or 1280x960 if I want something larger. Sure you can play with all the settings but photos are all short and fat unless you use 1680x1050.
