What a second half for Atlanta. Almost came back and won. Wish they did.

Jones tore them up.

Having said that, I can't stop being impressed with Rodgers. He was throwing lasers on the run tonight all over the field.

Imagine being a Vikings fan, you passed on him TWICE in the first round and he went to a division foe and is a first ballot HOF QB. lol That's brutal.

I still like our first round pick with Rolle. With Rogers, he didn't even play for like 3 years until Farve finally left/retired. So he had time to develop.

I watched almost the whole thing hoping they would win. We need GB to lose a game or two and I don't see it happening with their schedule.

This thread was hijacked from a discussion of Julio Jones' excellence to the draft status of Aaron Rodgers, but no big deal.

I think it's necessary to remember that those three years on the bench were absolutely essential to Aaron Rodgers development. He put on weight and gained arm strength during that time, while embedding himself with the coaching staff in a way that Favre wasn't that interested in doing.

Even then, the Packers weren't sold that Rodgers was the answer. Let's not forget that two years after drafting Rodgers, Green Bay picked Brian Brohm in the second round and Matt Flynn much later in the draft.

Have to admit it, but Packers are the best team in the league right now IMO. Well, their offense is for sure. Their defense took a huge step back last night, but the offense can score at will
