The Atlanta Falcons selected WR Zachariah Branch in the third round of the NFL draft. What is his realistic 2026 fantasy outlook, and how might his presence impact Drake London, Jahan Dotson, and Olamide Zaccheaus.
Atlanta hasn’t had two top-30 fantasy WRs since 2019, near the close of Julio Jones’s dominance, and near the beginning of Calvin Ridley’s all-too-brief ascension. This year’s team could come close if Branch breaks through as the clear-cut #2 wideout.
The rookie will battle Dotson and Zaccheaus, both of whom have topped out in the NFL at around 500 yards on about 45-50 catches. Neither is a good bet to have a career year with London and Bijan Robinson taking a lion’s share of touches, and with Kyle Pitts pushing for high-end TE targets.
This franchise has a strong track record for snagging talented Day 1 and Day 2 receivers. Branch went 79th overall. Their other most recent top-80 WR selections were Ridley (2018), Julio Jones (2011), and Roddy White (2005).
Branch is this team’s biggest fantasy wild card -- a speedy receiver drafted to have an immediate impact, but who first must establish himself as the unquestioned #2 WR. He might need a year or two. But deep-league managers absolutely should roll the dice on a guy who could flirt with a 60-800-6 receiving line if things break right.
