Well...We already know Josh gives Rod the heebie jeebies.

Then today with his 1st pass of the game he almost threw an interceptipon (which was luckily ruled incomplete).

Now he gives me the heebie-jeebies too.

We need ELI

Jureki mentioned it from the sideline that both Mac and Cryst chew his ass when Josh went to the sideline after that throw. Mac was quoted something to the effect that "if you want to play for me, you need to stop turning it over".

This guy is afraid to be a QB in this league. We need to take a look at Parsons at the number two during practice to see if he moves up in the pecking order. Better still move him up and get him ready to play the last two games of the season.

Parsons does have more poise in the pocket, even if he has less physical ability. If Parsons has any ability in McGinnis' eyes, it'll show in the next week or two. Hopefully he'll be moved into the #2 slot and get some playing time.

Exactly. Parsons is better than McCown!

I totally agree that Parsons is and has been better than McCown. He out played Josh in college and has out played josh in preseason. Parsons learned to play QB by the same guy that taught Troy Akiman. His name is Axemen (sp) an know QB gru. It seems that Josh was taught by "chuck and duck."

Biggest problem is that Mac Has a big problem admitting when he is wrong. Josh is Mac's boy; the one QB he had to draft. Well Josh hasn't really panned out.

Mac did the samething with Jake. That really didn't help either the team and/or Jake. It left a sour taste in all of our mouths.

The rest of team likes Parsons!

Parsons has a good attitude and the players look enthusiastic, when they play with him. Cards, need to give him decent time in the coming games.
Right off, McCown gave us that sinking feeling when he threw what I initially thought was an interception. He's just not putting out when called upon.

I think Mac and the rest of the staff have yet to stumble on the concept of sunk costs.

When you draft someone that is a bust, they are a bust and you already spent the pick. Don't make it worse proving to yourself that you blew it because you are afraid you messed up.

You play who practices and plays the best period. Forget draft order it is over.....

To maximize your roster you have to lay aside who you personally like and dislike and play the best team period.

It is fine to sit guys to teach lessons heck we need a lot more of that but in the end playing.. "your guy" can get you fired if "your guy" isn't the right guy.

McCown's play just emphasizes what a tremendous risk the Cardinals seemingly have taken in having him as their back up QB the past two seasons.

I say seemingly because the team overall has been so inept it may not have made much difference in the W-L record even if he had been forced into action for any length of time.

Especially when the guy has little bonus so getting rid of him is cap savings not a cap hit. Same with Rutledge, Stone etc over the years never understood why we kept them that long to "save face" for cutting a high pick.

Stone will be back next year, unless the new coach cuts him.

And according to his sister, we're a bunch of idiots and Michael will be in the Pro Bowl.

Well he hasn't played so maybe she's right !

It just to me is even dumber to hang on to mistake picks with little bonus, than to admit you made a mistake and cut them.

Remember if you have 2-3 of those guys on your roster, that's 2-3 spots taken up. How close did we get to cutting Dennis Johnson this year.... and he's our best DE right now. I suppose some would argue DJ fits the notion of players I am saying should be cut but he only had 1 year as a very young player so it was no surprise he was a non factor last year.

Time to see Parsons and McCown fight it out.

Blake should rest.

Mac should rest.

The Offensive line will continue resting.

That pass by McCown...well let's just say I understand being a bit jacked up coming in at QB after injury but that was a braindead move that could easily have blown up the game. I have defended McCown until I was blue in the face but I have basically decided enough is enough. He has been given chances...maybe not great chances but chances nonetheless...and has not shown he has learned from his limited experiences.

One of these days McCown will come in like that and he will be needed for more than a couple plays and he hasn't proven to be remotely ready to help the team win.

I wouldn't be shocked at this point to see Parsons up to #2 soon.

There is an ego thing at work sometimes to the detriment of the team. I think the same holds true for DCs and OCs. They get so married to a scheme or system that they try to fit the players into the system rather than adjusting the system to suit the players abilities. In much the same way, picks are held longer because nobody can believe they were wrong about a guy.

They were too quick to move him to safety. I say give him the whole preseason as a CB, and then cut him if he looks bad.

McCown doesn't look like NFL material. They should play Parsons as the #2, and if he doesn't look any better, get rid of them both. I still like Akili Smith as a back-up option.

That is what is wrong with this team!!! Mac can not or will not pull the trigger when it comes to his pet players. Just watch how fast Emitt repalces Shipp.
