it's ridiculous we signed him that cheaply. It actually seems insulting.

I don't care what anyone says, he is more impactful than Gillespie. I am very glad we got the deal done, but he is very much being underpaid.

In my opinion Goodwin is a better version of Lou Dortz who is getting 18 million a year.

Teams think it was a fluke season for Goody but not Collin. Or it's that White boy thing, or age.

I don't think we underpaid. I like his deal more than Collin's all around. Glad we were able to keep him.

Yeah, $6+ million a season is more than I hoped the Suns would have to pay.

Jordan Goodwin's deal with the Phoenix Suns will look like this, if it follows standard 8% raise structure:
26-27: $5.8M
27-28: $6.3M
28-29: $6.8M (player option)Terrific value for the Suns for a solid backup guard. Good for Goodwin too, especially with a player option on the final season.

Suns re-signing of Jordan Goodwin has been made official.

Actually that argument is dumb too, defense and hustle are easily more repeatable than shooting over 40% from 3. Players go through shooting slumps all the time.

I never saw it with Butler. Not that Goodwin looked that good but I was bummed we traded him away initially for Royce. He was a nice addition to the Beal trade. Like a poor man's Camara as a young throw in.

I know we lost similar players like Melton and Jevon Carter and thought losing Goodwin was the trifecta so getting him was a blessing as far as I was concerned. He makes a solid 2nd string guard pairing with Collin also.

i totally wanted the other guy - i think it was butler? i don't remember but he was scoring buckets and filling the stat sheet meanwhile goody was playing good d and and fighting for offensive rebounds - goody isn't just the better player - he's also the spark that can light a fire under everyone's asses

i'm so glad goody got paid - i won't compare he and gillespie - they are two different keys on opposite sides of the piano - goody knows how and when to switch defensive assignments with gillespie - without compromising the defense - they have that chemistry- really helps our bench's backcourt
