I also thought it was cool he was a "Junior Laker" and now a real Laker.
Someone on a UCLA board found that pic. We were joking that the Hispanic kid was Lorenzo Mata-Real and the white kid with the short hair was Mike Roll, but we all pretty much agree that IS Nick Young, they were childhood friends so it fits that it would be him.
I got a real kick when they played Detroit briefly he was guarding Afflalo which is really cool for a UCLA fan like me.

Myt comment was pretaining to what you bolded. I thought you were talking about the fact that we sold the picks.
But for what its worth - yeah - I would make that argument Draft wise though yes that was #2.
I guess it really depends on how Farmar turns out but I for one think he is going to be a solid pro and was the perfect kid to back up Nash.
So while there are likely other good players we passed on - of all the draftable back up PG's we could have got - and other than center which there is a scarcity of that is our biggest need - I think Farmar will prove to be the best.

UCLA players do not turn the ball over nor get stripped, not even by other UCLA players!
I actually didn't see that particular play I just noted in the 2nd quarter they were essentially guarding each other a few times up and down. they're good friends but they're not as tight as Farmar and Young who have that friendly rivalry thing going for years.
Afflalo and Pruitt are comparable teammates one year in HS, friendly rivals ever since.

Yep that's another example of the friendly rivalry from HS.
Farmar and Young had a great situation Farmar actually tutored Young so that he could pass the SAT. On his graduation day from HS he got a letter that told him he'd passed the SAT. Farmar wanted him to go to UCLA and Howland wanted him but he stuck with USC because they'd stuck with him.
There's a documentary film about Nick Young now and in it you see a young Farmar.
You guys hammer that guy too hard for that, Because I understand the guy fine. But I also had a job for four years speaking to people around the World, A roommate fresh from India, and grew up in a area in Southern California where English is a second language, So I guess thats why I can understand him. LOL
