I was really excited when the Cardinals selected Burch last year. However, after watching every Cardinals game in 2025, it’s apparent he has a really long way to go as an edge player. What is intriguing, however, is that his listed weight in college was in the mid 290’s. He dropped into the 270’s for the draft when it became clear that he was being looked at as an edge player.
My question: Would getting Burch back to 295-300 lbs. be enough to move him inside to defensive tackle? He would seem to be a tremendous athlete for that position and quite a match up for a guard. Thoughts?
