I was sitting down in the NEZ durring pre-game warm-ups. Denny was standing in almost in the middle of the end-zone near the goal line looking over his team.

About 45 minutes before the game starts this skel-a-tor looking guy comes walking towards Denny smilling and waving. I realize that it is Jerry Jones and that he taking the time to walk around the field to go talk to Green.

A couple of thoughts enter my mind;
1. Jerry look like crap.
2. Maybe it is time for me to make a living will.

I wonder, why is Jerry pumping Denny's hand, smilling and looking like he wants to hump Denny's leg?

I wonder if Jerry is wondering if he picked the right coach? There were two different teams with two different attitudes out there. You would have to been blind not to see it. You can accuse Jones of a lot of things, but he is not blind yet.

Parcells has been to the top; it seems that he may not have the fire and drive that he once did.

Green definately still has the ambition to reach the pinnacle of coaching.

Parcells is OVERRTATED!

I am beginning to really think much of his success has come from having Belichek under him all those years.

Parcells gives up on his teams. This will be his last year in dallas.

Portland Oregon these days.
I've always respected Parcells. Could it be a problem with trying to accomodate Jerry Jones, rather than just bringing in all his own people and doing it his way? He usually hires his own general manager, makes all personnel decisions, etc. I don't think he's had quite that freedom.

Whatever it is, there's no doubting a huge gap between the Cardinals attitude and the Cowboys.

"Parcells is OVERRTATED?" -Shane H

Better than underrtated. Or suffering from tatershrink.

That's the worst.
Cold pool?
Instant tated shrinkage.

Jerry Jones giving you the one-two pumperoo?
Super tater shrinkage.

I think Jerry views bringing Parcells to Dallas as briniing a winning coach to a winning organization. He is now wondering why they are not being successful with this marriage-made-in-hell. I am not counting Parcells out yet; seems to me we beat them in pre-season last year and then they responded by hammering us in the regular season. However, I am less than impressed with Parcells year III team. Bledsoe is deadso. Hensen is a joke. Romo better bloom quickly, he does look like a promising young QB, but not this year.

I also think that Jerry views bringing Green to Arizona as bringing a winning coach to a losing organization. He is now wondering if he didn't make a mistake in bedding Bill. If Parcell flops dramatically this year...when is Green's contract up with the Cardinals? Green's Year II Team looks to be a sight never seen before in Arizona. A division contender; not as a wild-card, but as the home-team for play-off game number 1. Green has filled most of the holes and is now in the process of upgrading, but Jones sees that Green has built a team with legitmate play-off talent. Health and coaching will tell how this seasons goes, but if Green succeeds dramatically this year he will be entering the 2006 season as the Coach of the Year and Jerry will covet that.

What Jones won't understand is that there are two key elements supporting Green; they are Micheal Bidwill and Rod Graves.

I would like to have Micheal Bidwill and Rod Graves for upper management a lot better than I would Jerry Jones.

It always cracks me up when Jones gets interviewed on the sidelines; he always makes observations on player personnel and team needs, etc. He gives the impression he is deeply involved in those decisions. I wonder what Parcells thinks when he hears those comments.

He may not be having the success he once did, but he was the man at one time. Without Parcells, Belichek probably isn't even a head coach right now.

Green signed a 5-year deal, so he has four years left.

BTW, I don't how much influence Parcells has on FA, but since Jones is the official GM I'm assuming that he's in charge of signing players . IMO the decline of the Cowboys is caused by terrible FA management. To me it just seems that Jones is convinced that he's only one or two players away from a titel, so he overpays to bring in that one guy that will turn the program around.
