PITTSBURGH, PA - NOVEMBER 16: Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt (90) tries to sack Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco (16) in the second quarter resulting in a roughing the passer penalty during the game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cincinnati Bengals at Acrisure Stadium on November 16, 2025 in Pittsburgh, PA. The Pittsburgh Steelers split their season series with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2026, losing a 33-31 Thursday night shootout in Week 7 and rebounding with a 34-12 blowout win at home in Week 11.
The Steelers didn’t play Joe Burrow in 2025 due to a turf toe injury that saw him miss nine games, meaning it was another Joe they are more than familiar with.
Joe Flacco took over the reigns in relief of Burrow, and was also a focal point of Netflix’s Quarterback. In the Bengals’ second game against the Steelers, Flacco took a massive hit from T.J. Watt, which he used colorful language to describe.
“Man, he f—ked me up,” Flacco said. “He knew what he was doing, too… he was like, ‘I’ve got a chance to hit him here. I’m gonna take full advantage.‘”
The Steelers will take on the Bengals in Weeks 3 and 10 in 2026, with the first matchup taking place in Pittsburgh and the second in Cincinnati. The two teams are an even 5-5 in their last 10 meetings.
