Former Falcons head coach Jim Mora Jr. once said his dream job would be coaching his alma mater, the University of Washington Huskies.

He's getting closer -- geographically speaking. Mora, fired after one 5-11 season with the Seahawks, has landed a new gig with Bellevue High School in suburban Seattle.

The Seattle Times reports Mora's role has yet-to-be determined.

Undetermined role for a high school? Ouch

He's collecting millions in severance; has an NFL Network part-time gig - and is just keeping himself busy, I would guess.

Given his age and pedigree, he'll get another opportunity in either the NFL or major College.

I'm sure he's not working at a high school because he doesn't have other options. I'll be he's loving life right now.

Maybe he's just scouting local HS talent so he knows who the studs are if he ever gets his dream job ;)

I honestly think there is some truth to that - even if it isn't to get his dream job

the guy is getting paid from multiple directions - if he does have aspirations of coaching collegiately in the PNW then it wouldn't be a bad idea to start networking with coaches and programs in that area ..... the school he's helping out at is a pretty good program

he could very well be laying early foundations for a collegiate gig, while cooling his heels a little bit and collecting his riches

I am with Pariah 100%. Congrats to Mora, who is probably falling in love with coaching all over again. I coach (lacrosse) at the HS level and it's a great time. if I was loaded I'd do it forever.
