In looking at his bio mechanics it seems clear what the comparison is and yes all of these are fast, tough, agile and most of all determined but they each had differences in their style

Not Emmit Smith, he ran like a bowling ball, solid and tough

Not Barry Sanders, fast and agile with a (relatively) short gait

Watch the film on Walter Payton, long stride, this is how Love runs

Not saying he will or won't be this good but this is how he runs

Its an analysis of how (in this case) his body moves. You been here a long time so I thought you knew my background which my screen name kinda gives away. 45 years of study in karate gives one a significantly better than average understanding of how people move.

In Love's case he has long legs and is fast once he gets up to speed. Emmit was quick, low and tough. Barry had a short gait keeps his centre of mass over his centre of balance, this allows for quick changes of direction and a good spin move to escape. Oh and do not expect him to be a hammer but then I didn't think I needed to say that

Love moves like Peyton used to IMO

None of this says he is going to be great, he is a rookie and not played a down yet, I'm just giving a comparison.
