Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons is looking forward to playing for his new coach Robert Saleh in 2026.

Simmons was named first-team All-Pro at defensive tackle in 2025. At the forefront of the Titans’ pass rush, the Louisiana native will be playing for his fourth head coach in seven seasons in the NFL. Yet, Simmons is not skeptical about the chemistry that he will form with Saleh next year.

According to Tennesseetitans.com’s Jim Wyatt, Simmons accentuated coach Saleh’s his like-minded approach to the game following the latter’s introductory press conference on Thursday, Jan. 29:

"Me and coach are going to get along just fine. I know the way he wants his guys to play, and that is my style of football,” Wyatt said.

Saleh intends for the Titans to play “violent” in 2026 with a noticeable level of speed. Simmons exhibited those traits in the regular season, recording 11 sacks (No. 9), as well as 17 tackles for loss for Tennessee.

Simmons’ dynamic with Saleh will prove vital to the rebuilding Titans franchise next season.
