One of the most significant moves general manager Mike Borgonzi made during the offseason was hiring Robert Saleh to become the next head coach of the Tennessee Titans. While some have questioned the move after his failed stint with the Jets in New York, he appears to be a perfect fit in Nashville by all accounts.

Known for his stout defenses (even with the Jets), Saleh brings an attitude and history to what has become a completely revamped Titans’ defense, and he has already won over Tennessee’s biggest star: Jeffery Simmons.

On Monday, Simmons joined Ross Tucker on his podcast and talked about Saleh and the Titans, and you can hear the excitement for the upcoming season in his voice.

“I'm excited. I'm sure you guys see the videos of him being so hyped on the sideline. We’re going to have somebody on the sideline every single time somebody makes a big play; he's going to be over there celebrating," he said.

Simmons has every reason to be excited to play in Saleh’s scheme. Saleh has made stars out of defensive linemen such as Quinnen Williams, who had his best seasons in the system.

The attitude and excitement the new coaching staff has brought to the organization are apparent in every video from offseason team activities (OTAs), and the comment, “this feels different,” can be heard from everyone who has interacted with the organization.
