The Philadelphia 76ers are just a few months away from beginning a season where they will be front and center. They have a stacked roster that includes Jaylen Brown, Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid, and yes, LeBron James. Brown is coming off his successful 10-year tenure with the Boston Celtics and is completely starting anew.
In addition, Brown is not wasting any time calling out the perceived “disrespect” he said he received from those who entrusted his career with, per Ahmed, aka “BigBizTheGod.” He told Ahmed on a livestream that the disrespect from others gives him more motivation to go out and win.
“I’ve been a little bit disrespected in this process from people that I thought valued me… I want to win more than anything,” Brown said.

Ever since he was traded, Brown felt disrespected by the Celtics. All this occurred while they and the 76ers were going at it in the playoffs. The 76ers pulled off a 3-1 comeback in the first round of the playoffs. Then the trade happened, and everyone has their own opinion.
Brown felt as though Boston railroaded him out of town after ten years. Additionally, Brown criticized how GM Brad Stevens handled the situation. Others also called out Brown’s intelligence and his belief that he’s the “smartest guy in every room he is in” as the basis for why he and the Boston Front Office came apart, even after helping lead the Celtics to the NBA Championship in 2024 and winning the Finals MVP.
With all that, Brown has something to prove in more ways than one.
