At this point, it's hard to envision Jaylen Brown playing another game for the Boston Celtics.
Numerous rumors indicate the star forward likely will be moved this offseason. The Celtics initially tried -- and failed -- to swap Brown for Giannis Antetokounmpo, but they reportedly remain committed to trading him.
So, where could he go?
On Sunday, Brian Robb of MassLive published a piece containing new details on the Brown trade sweepstakes.
"There are a number of players that have agreed to delay their team contract options in the past week until today, giving those teams the flexibility to use those deals for salary matching in trade scenarios with those deals," Robb wrote. "A few of the noteworthy teams on that list include the Atlanta Hawks (Buddy Hield), Los Angeles Clippers (Bogdan Bogdanovic) and Brooklyn Nets (Day’ron Sharpe).
"All of these teams have registered at least exploratory interest in Brown, sources tell MassLive. Thus, it’s worth monitoring what happens with these contracts on Sunday since it could signal some type of trade with those teams, although it may not necessarily involve Brown.
Time will tell what the Celtics do with Brown. Maybe they trade him, maybe they don't -- but his returning to Boston feels like an unlikely outcome.
