Jaylen Brown has finally spoken out after the blockbuster trade that sent him from the Boston Celtics to the Philadelphia 76ers. It was a shock move for everyone because it showcased that Brown's trade value was at an all-time low, given he was dealt for a 36-year-old Paul George and draft picks.

While the picks could be valuable in the long run, it is mostly seen as a salary dump move by the Celtics. Now, Brown is headed to Philly, and he knows there will be an adjustment period. Considering the Celtics and 76ers are rivals, he has been programmed to hate Philly, but he is already learning to love his new home.

Over the past decade, the Celtics and 76ers have had plenty of duels that involved Brown. He has been one of the Celtics' best players for a long time, so he has grown accustomed to playing against Philly, and he's used to being the villain vs the 76ers.

Now, he will be one of the players who are cheered by the passionate 76ers fans. He knows that it will take some time for him to adjust to his new environment, but he seems prepared for the situation and his role under head coach Nick Nurse.

For the longest time, he has considered Philly one of his biggest rivals because he played for Boston. Now that he is far away from the Celtics, he is ready to embrace his new team and be the new rival to Boston every time Philly plays against their team.

"The hard part is, the last ten years, I've been programmed to hate Philadelphia. The history of the rivalry, the playoff battles... I've been programmed to think like 'f*ck The Process'. It's funny, now I gotta reverse-engineer it, but I'll be ready to go by the time the season starts," Brown said on his first Twitch stream after the blockbuster trade.

Brown has also noted that he does not want any special treatment. He wants the full Philly experience, which includes getting criticized by the fans for some poor performances or any other reason.

Heading into Philly, Brown knows what he will have to face when he joins the team. It will be a challenge for him, but with the roster they have built so far, it is hard not to call them one of the biggest contenders ahead of the 2026-27 NBA season.
