Count boxer Jake Paul among those who won’t watch rapper Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl 60 halftime show tonight.

“Purposefully turning off the halftime show. Let’s rally together and show big corporations they can’t just do whatever they want without consequences (which equals viewership for them),” Paul posted on X this afternoon. “You are their benefit. Realize you have power. Turn off this halftime.”

Why is Paul begging people not to watch?

Well, he believes that Bad Bunny, who was born in Puerto Rico — a U.S. territory — is a “fake American citizen who publicly hates America,” and therefore, he “cannot support that.”

Paul, who has caused controversy with his comments, stunts and infuencer-to-boxer rise, is facing backlash tonight, with many calling him hypocritical. Jake and his brother, Logan Paul, moved to Puerto Rico years ago for the tax benefits — a move that Bad Bunny has criticized.

Now, people are calling out Jake Paul for his comments about the Puerto Rican rapper.

“Bro you cant talk about ‘fake Americans’ when you moved from the U.S. to Puerto Rico to avoid taxes,” an X user commented.

“Any particular reason why you don’t want to watch an American citizen perform in the half time show of the Superbowl?” another commented asked.

“But you rep Puerto Rico and train there,” another person said.

Paul and many others may watch Turning Point USA’s “All-American Halftime Show,” which was created as a political and cultural opposition to Bad Bunny, who primarily sings in Spanish and has vocally spoken out against U.S. President Donald Trump.
