Jaguars trade rumor could lead to blockbuster deal for Eagles' disgruntled $96 million star originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are looking to build on their successful 2025-26 campaign.
The Jaguars won 13 regular-season games and nearly pulled off an AFC Wild Card win vs. the Josh Allen-led Buffalo Bills.
While Jacksonville would be primed for another memorable campaign without making a blockbuster deal between now and the start of the 2026-27 season, an anonymous personnel believes that the franchise could benefit from acquiring a disgruntled Philadelphia Eagles star wide receiver.
“Another personnel exec mentioned Jacksonville as a potential fit for Brown,” SportsBoom’s J.L. Canfora reported Wednesday.
“Jags receiver Brian Thomas, Jr. has regressed and been subject of trade rumors and 2025 top pick Travis Hunter is going to be playing way more cornerback than receiver moving forward and a vet like Brown could help fill a void there.”
The Jaguars would definitely be a wild-card suitor for Brown. Outdueling the front-running New England Patriots would be a tough task, given that ESPN’s Adam Schefter has previously stated he believes that the three-time Pro Bowler will land with the AFC East franchise this summer.
The Kansas City Chiefs are another franchise that has been linked to Brown lately, adding to the Jaguars’ competition for the 1,000-yard wideout. Luckily for Jacksonville, nothing is set in stone, allowing them to make a push for Brown if they choose to.
