With minicamp behind us, let's break down the Jacksonville Jaguars' roster through a different lens.
In this series, we will be going position-by-position and placing each player into various categories, determining whether they are a lock to make the team or find themselves on the bubble.
What this exercise can do is help bring into focus how many roster spots are actually available this summer, along with highlighting who may be on the outside and looking in.
Closing out our roster preview are the safeties.
Having five roster locks at one position feels a bit assumptive, but all five players have expected roles on this team.
Murray and Johnson are the projected starters. We also see a lot of three-safety looks under Anthony Campanile, which could create opportunities for Caleb Ransaw to see the field, while Lane was a core special teams contributor last season, and Huskey could be as well as a rookie, or perhaps push Ransaw for that third spot on the depth chart.
Realistically, all five roster spots on the 53-man are probably accounted for at this position, which leaves these three competing for a spot or two on the practice squad.
