The Jacksonville Jaguars announced a pair of roster moves at the linebacker position on Tuesday.
The team has placed rookie Jack Kiser on injured reserve. Kiser suffered a hamstring injury in the Jaguars' win on Sunday over the New York Jets.
He has to miss a minimum of four games.
With Kiser's open roster spot, the Jaguars also announced that they signed running back DeeJay Dallas to the 53-man roster. For more on why Jacksonville signed Dallas, you can find that here.
Kiser, a fourth-round draft pick by the Jaguars, appeared in four games defensively this season, playing 43 total snaps, according to PFF.
His greatest impact, however, came on special teams. Kiser ranks fifth on the Jaguars in special teams snaps, contributing to four of the six different phases. He has recorded four total tackles.
Also at linebacker, the practice window for rookie Jalen McLeod has been opened. The Jaguars now have 21 days to add McLeod back to the 53-man roster.
Although back at practice, McLeod still has to be cleared before he can be available on game days.
McLeod was placed on injured reserve and designated to return during roster cutdowns back in late August with a lower-body injury.
Along with playing linebacker, McLeod brings a versatile skill set to the Jaguars' defense, able to line up as a pass rusher off the edge as well. At 236 pounds, he brings an added speed element to that pass rush role.
