The way the hair came out and there was no blood or huge reaction from Duke I thought it must be a weave. Agree not manly if that is the case.

I never knew there was actually a market for dreadlock weaves until yesterday. I showed the clip to our nanny yesterday and I expressed shock that Ellington didn't appear to express any pain. She told me she thought it may be a weave. I didn't even know those existed. But, that explains it.
I don't see this as a manliness issue. It's odd and I suppose vain, but whatever.
